USC Annenberg wins CASE Circle of Excellence Silver Award
Acceptance into the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism is a major achievement, and how admitted students are welcomed and informed of their acceptance significantly impacts whether they see a future at USC Annenberg. USC Annenberg’s latest campaign to connect with admitted students earned a prestigious CASE Circle of Excellence Silver Award.
During the spring of 2021, a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, USC Annenberg’s communication and marketing office saw the need and opportunity to reimagine the admitted student’s journey to accepting their offer of admission.
USC Annenberg worked closely with STAUFFER to bring their illustration-driven creative concept to life on the screens of admitted students’ devices.
Upon being invited to visit the microsite “Starting at Point A” by a visually striking print mailer, admitted students are immersed within a highly refined user experience. Accompanied by an omnipresent call to action to join the USC Annenberg community, users are guided effortlessly through rich, diverse content such as event sizzle reels, virtual tours and student work samples that create a comprehensive view into the school’s most competitive advantages in the classroom and beyond.

In 2022, CASE received more than 4,500 entries from 636 institutions in nearly 30 countries. Of those, volunteer judges 626 exemplary entries for bronze, silver, gold, or Grand Gold recognition.
Winners were selected based on several factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff.
